Compare Samples Under the Same Conditions
When you compare two slice samples, keep the preparation and the amount used the same. Record whether the pieces are steeped and removed, mixed into food, or reduced again. Otherwise the trial compares two methods, not two inputs.
Ask the receiver to assess the representative visual range, including edges and small pieces. A selected close-up supports the discussion. It does not replace the accepted sample distribution.
When you ask for a revised cut, keep the first and second sample identifiers separate. Note which observation prompted the change and whether the preparation method stayed the same. The importer and the production team can then work from the accepted version, instead of combining old document wording with a newer physical sample.

No. Use it together with the botanical identity, the dried condition, and the cut description. That reduces ambiguity between the inquiry, the sample, and the documents.

Record the extra work and decide whether the proposed slice range is useful. Review the specification before assuming the same input suits a larger run.
