Dried Galangal Slices for Buyers in Canada

Choose slices for a reason your customer can measure: a visible pack, a controlled addition to a recipe, or a preparation step removed from the line.

Separate Pack Appearance From Production Dosing

A customer that displays slices in a transparent pack cares about skin edges and the balance of large and small pieces. A manufacturer that doses by weight cares about handling and whether pieces need re-cutting. Use the right trial for the customer, not one generic visual grade.

For repeat orders, keep the accepted sample ID and the written range. A photograph of one selected piece cannot define the distribution throughout a bag.

Before approving the order, compare the proposed pack with the customer's intake routine: how it is opened, which portion is sampled, and where the remaining material goes. Agree who keeps the reference when a distributor and a manufacturer are both involved. A later cut complaint is then easier to check against the original decision.

Keep the Commodity Description Consistent

CFIA's license guidance points importers to AIRS. Ask your Canadian representative to use the actual dried, sliced product and the intended food use in that check. The finished recipe does not replace the description of the material being imported.

Questions Before Ordering

Are Slices a Ready-to-Eat Product?

We make no such claim. Define the intended preparation, and ask your technical team which safety test results and processing are needed.

Can We Use One Photo as the Acceptance Standard?

No. Use it as a discussion aid, then agree a representative sample and a measurable cut range. A selected photograph does not describe every piece in a shipment.
