Fit the Pieces to a Batch Operation
A processor that runs small development batches prepares pieces differently from a continuous milling line. Describe the batch size, the available cutter, and the time spent sorting in the trial. Use those observations to decide whether larger pieces suit the work.
If the final customer buys on whole-piece appearance, set that as a separate acceptance basis. A chunk mix approved for milling is not identical to a visually selected whole format.
For a trial that runs over several small batches, record which portion came from which sample pack. Ask the operator whether differences in the piece mixture changed the preparation time or the need for manual cutting. This defines a manageable input range. One selected piece is not representative of the whole order.

Is a Chunk Mix Suitable for a Whole-Piece Display?
Not automatically. Agree the appearance and the broken-piece share with the display buyer. Do not reuse a processor's functional specification.
Should a Small Processor Always Choose Slices?
No. Compare the work each format requires in the actual operation. Trial preparation and useful output tell you more than business size alone.
